Occupational Health, Safety & Workers Compensation Project Officer (Melbourne)
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Australian Council of Trade Unions team. The successful applicant will be involved in working with the ACTU and affiliated unions regarding OHS and workers compensation; particularly through the activities of Safe Work Australia.
Key responsibilities include:
- Representing the ACTU on Safe Work Australia (SWA) committees and other government and non-government bodies
- Consulting affiliates about relevant issues
- Working to develop resources and information for affiliates
- Analysing material and writing submissions
- Develop and participate in relevant campaigns
The successful applicant will have a strong commitment to the labour movement with relevant experience and/or qualifications in areas such as health and safety, workplace relations or social policy.
This position is funded by the Commonwealth through the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations. The ACTU is an equal opportunity employer. The successful applicant will be an Australian resident and able to work in Australia.
