ACTU Occupational Health & Safety and Workers' Compensation Conference 2013
At a critical time for health and safety and workers compensation in Australia, unions will be meeting in Adelaide to decide, discuss and debate issues that matter. Bullying, asbestos, Comcare, worker rehabilitation are some of the local issues that will be considered as well as international topics like the lessons from the Pike River disaster in New Zealand or the fertiliser plant explosion near Waco Texas. Over 2 days, union officials, activists and academics will hear from national and international speakers, all experts in their fields, together with policy makers, policy enforcer’s and political strategists. As well as informing and educating participants this Conference will set union priorities for the coming 12 months.
