The ACTU believes that an important element in gaining employer support for the expansion of training opportunities has been the subsidies and incentives offered by the Commonwealth and State governments. The ACTU supports the continuation of Commonwealth and State subsidies and incentive payments to employers who recruit New Apprentices.
