To equip organisers with the skills and knowledge to deal with discrimination and harassment in the workplace.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Identify behaviours that are unlawful under anti-discrimination laws, and under anti-discrimination provisions in industrial laws;
Identify the rights and responsibilities of employers, employees and union organisers under these laws;
Select the most appropriate law to use to get the best outcome for a member experiencing discrimination or harassment;
Assist members to pursue internal and external complaints about discrimination or harassment.
