Strategic Research Seminar

This half day seminar is aimed at Secretaries, Assistant Secretaries, Leaders or Coordinators of organising and Organisers responsible for research and planning.

This is a one off opportunity for South Australian unionists to take part in a seminar presented by Eli Kasargod-Staub. Eli was seconded from the SEIU to work with the ACTU as the Strategic Research Director.

Eli has a wealth of information and experience to share with us about the work he has done in the US and here in Australia, specifically the Telstra campaign.

This seminar will be extremely valuable to learn more about the importance of research and the part it plays in enabling us to focus our resources more effectively. He will give practical examples from campaigns that have had great success in winning better outcomes for working people.

We know that building power on the ground, organising to build the capacity of workers to win improvements at their workplace is essential to success. Through strategic research and planning we can amplify our power. Eli will show us how.

Strategic research and corporate/industry campaigning can help enable organized workers to improve wages and job conditions.

You will be able to identify the core questions necessary to carry out a strategic corporate/industry analysis and you’ll get the information needed to answer those questions.
