Please understand these cancellation policies are necessary to ensure the viability of our courses for all enrolled participants, as delivery (excepting Online courses) is dependent on sufficient enrolments.
Note: General courses refers to all face-to-face courses except Residential and Online courses and the Organising Works Program.
Participants will receive written (email) confirmation of course delivery two weeks (ten working days) prior to course commencement.
To receive a full course refund, the participant or union must cancel the enrolment at least ten working days prior to course commencement, by written notification (email) to email@example.com.
Fees cannot be refunded, waived or transferred if notification is received after this date.
Where a participant cannot attend after this date, a suitable replacement may attend in their place. Please notify us by email to ensure the new participant is properly enrolled.
Participants will receive written (email) confirmation of course delivery four weeks (20 working days) prior to course commencement.
No refunds, waivers or transfers can be given once participants have enrolled in Residential Courses, due to the specialist nature and the lead-time required to book course venues.
Federal Right of Entry Online Course
Course registrations are processed within 2 business days of being received.
Payment is required on application.
No refunds, waivers or transfers can be given once registration is complete (i.e. participants have been given access to the course on the ACTU Organising Centre Hub).
Organising Works Training
Cancellation of an enrolment from the training component must be from the participant, mentor or union, by written notification (email) to firstname.lastname@example.org prior to Organising Works Course 3 (see state timetables for specific dates).
Enrolments cancelled on or prior to this date will not be invoiced (i.e. fees are fully waived).
Enrolments cancelled after this date will be invoiced and will incur full program costs.
Organising Works Assessment
At training completion participants may enrol in Assessment for the Certificate IV in Unionism and Industrial Relations. The relevant Unions or participants will be invoiced once the enrolment period has closed.
Cancellation of enrolment in the assessment component must be from the participant or union, by written notification (email) to email@example.com.
Enrolments cancelled prior to submission of the first piece of assessment will be eligible for a 90% refund of the assessment fee.
Enrolments cancelled after the first piece of assessment has been submitted will still incur full costs.
If participants are traveling from interstate or country regions to attend courses, travel arrangements should not be made before the course has been confirmed in writing.
The ACTU Organising Centre does not acknowledge liability for reimbursement of lost flight/accommodation costs where travel arrangements are made prior to course confirmation.
