Divisional Executive Officer

The CFMEU is a large, national, blue collar union, enthusiastically campaigning for a better life for Australian workers, their families and communities and proudly fighting for decent and safe jobs for CFMEU members, including workers in construction, building products manufacturing and mining.

The CFMEU Forestry and Furnishing Division is looking to employ a Divisional Executive officer. The Divisional Executive Officer will report directly to the Divisional Secretary and will have responsibility for the day to day operational management of the Divisional Office and provide support to the other Divisional Officers and District Secretaries as directed by the National Secretary.

The primary focus of the role will be on oversite of the operational activities and priorities of the Division including oversight of the financial reporting arrangements, compliance requirements, and effective operation of the membership system, human resource management, fleet management, purchase and contract management, and the administration of the Division.

The successful candidate will ideally have extensive experience in working in a union as either or both an elected official or union administrator.

High level communication and organizational skills will be essential to successfully fill this role.
