The National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) NSW Division is seeking two highly motivated, member focused individuals with experience in organising, recruitment and campaigning, preferably also with good digital organising skills, either in a trade union or in social justice organisations. The successful applicants will be committed to building the trade union movement.

One of the Organiser positions is full-time and ongoing and will be available immediately. The other is full-time and fixed-term (8-months) available 28 February 2024, with a pathway to an ongoing position.

The NTEU is a federally registered union with coverage of academic and general staff in higher education. The NTEU (NSW) is responsible for workers in all NSW universities and their associated student organisations, research institutes and companies.

The successful candidates will initially be based at the NSW Division office in Surry Hills. You will be assigned a mix of duties, including, as part of a team, taking responsibility for the completion of organising, campaigning, and administrative tasks or projects at the Branch level and state-wide. You may be allocated to support other NTEU branches in NSW.

It will be filled at NTEU Level 5/6 ($87,001 – $107,678), plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.
