Course Description

The Digital and Social Media Tools course – tailored for digital organisers, campaigners, and communications staff of all experience levels – will develop skills in the use of digital tools for campaigning, organising and recruitment.  

Participants will gain hands-on experience with the latest digital tools and methods, and learn the essentials of campaign methodology, digital best-practice and content creation across a range of social media platforms and channels.  

The course covers:  

  • Developing campaign strategy and planning campaign kick-offs 

  • Building audiences and defining audience personas  

  • The latest digital and social media tools like petitions, emails, surveys, advertising and analytical tools 

  •  Developing engaging messaging and content across multiple channels and platforms 

  •  User experience design, organising funnels and lead generation to grow and engage your audience

Participants will also explore a detailed, real-world union case study, examining the challenges, difficulties and solutions encountered. Participants are encouraged to bring their questions and examples of roadblocks that have arisen in their union work. 

All courses for the rest of 2021 will be online. 

Please ensure relevant approval has been granted by your union in accordance with its rules and elected official and note the cost of this course is $140.00 (GST inclusive) for the online course.
