Course Details
The Voice. Treaty. Truth. Advocacy course introduces officials, organisers, workplace leaders and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Workers to the history of the First Nations peoples’ struggle; the Uluru Statement of the Heart; techniques to advocate on behalf of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Workers when participating in an event or campaign; the skills required to build the confidence of officials, organisers, workplace leaders and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Workers to handle objections; and messaging and mapping in a targeted campaign.
At the end of the course participants will be able to:

Understand the history of the First Nations peoples’ struggle

Explain the Uluru Statement of the Heart and the three key points of the Voice. Treaty. Truth. campaign

Learn techniques to advocate and campaign on behalf of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander industrial workplace issues

Develop skills and confidence to handle objections

Learn effective messaging and mapping actions, including social media
The cost of this course is $99 per participant and includes a complimentary First Nations Workers Alliance membership.
