Prime Minister Morrison must intervene and stop the deportation of Priya, Nades and their two Australian-born children to Sri Lanka.
The Tamil family has lived in Biloela, Queensland for four years and have been valued members of the local community. Nades works at the local meatworks, Priya has joined church groups and has provided food for the local hospital where her two daughters were born.
Border Force removed the family from their home one day after Priya’s visa expired and are now attempting to deport them to the country they fled from, seeking saftey in Australia.

“Scott Morrison can intervene to protect this family. Their community in Biloela are campaigning to bring them home, the Prime Minister must do whatever he can to protect this couple and their Australian-born children.

“The Prime Minister intervened on behalf of Hakeem al-Araibi and can easily intervene again to protect this family.
“If the Morrison Government fails to protect Priya, Nades and their children then it is failing to uphold the most basic functions of a government, and failing to uphold its obligations in international law and before the international community.
“We call on the Morrison Government to urgently intervene to let Priya, Nades and their children stay in Australia, and return them to their home in Biloela.”
