Senior National Industrial Officer
Health Services Union National
The Senior National Industrial Officer is a senior leadership position with HSU National, responsible for driving the union’s national industrial strategy and providing high-level industrial and legal advice to union leadership across the country.
Reporting directly to the HSU National Secretary and working as part of a small, high-performing team, the successful applicant will assume responsibility for the HSU’s national modern award matters, including major proceedings before the Fair Work Commission concerning wages, classification structures, and gender-based undervaluation. The role also includes coordination of strategic industrial campaigns, and engagement with key stakeholders including other unions and peak bodies, employers, employer associations, advocacy organisations, and government representatives and regulators.
The Senior National Industrial Officer will also provide strategic support to HSU branches nationally, facilitate cross-branch industrial coordination, and contribute to the development and mentoring of industrial staff.
