CORRECTION OF MEDIA RELEASE RE: GIG SUPER PTY LTD

Media Release - May 18, 2018

On 6 April 2018 the ACTU published a media release regarding the superannuation partnership between Deliveroo and Gig Super.

Although the ACTU stands by the criticisms it made in that press release about Deliveroo’s refusal to make superannuation contributions on behalf of its employees, it was not the ACTU’s intention to make any accusation about the bona fides of Gig Super itself, nor any of its directors of officers.

The ACTU accepts that neither Gig Super nor its directors or officers have engaged in any untrustworthy or exploitative conduct in connection with Gig Super’s partnership with Deliveroo and should any readers of our press release have understood it to convey such allegations then we unreservedly retract them and apologise to Gig Super and its directors and officers for any hurt or embarrassment this has caused.
