It is time for Tibet!

Over the past three weeks Tibetans in Tibet have been continually protesting for against Chinese policy that has deprived them of jobs, religious freedom and has threatened their culture. It is now time to show your support and solidarity – let them know they are not alone!

Monday 31 March is the Global Day of Action for Tibet and we need your support!
The Australia Tibet Council is organising events on Monday in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Hobart and Perth, we would like to see many unionists and Australians who care about social justice issues standing up for the people of Tibet.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to show the Australian and Chinese Governments, as well as the world at large, the broad community support that exists in Australia for a peaceful resolution to the Tibet issue.

MESSAGE: The eyes of the world are on Tibet. Prime Minister Rudd is on his way to China. It’s time to stand up in solidarity with the Tibetan people.

Join Tibetans, Tibet supporters and Australians concerned about human rights in demanding that China:

Keep the Olympic Torch out of Tibet Allow access to Tibet by international media and independent monitors • Negotiate with the Dalai Lama for a lasting solution to the Tibet issue

Please make a special effort to attend your closest Global Day of Action event on Monday 31 March
