Role description
We are looking for someone with excellent organisation, customer service, conflict resolution and administration skills for our member support team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient management of our outgoing and incoming calls. This will include, making outbound contact calls, call screening including but not limited to – member joins, providing general union information, taking subscription payments and general office administrative duties where required.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure efficient follow up of allocated outbound calls – unfinanical follow up, welcome calls, updating member details etc.
- Answer incoming calls
- Processing membership subscription payments
- Maintain membership database records and ensure data integrity
- Respond to inquiries relating to membership and undertake routine follow-up calls
- Liaise with staff in branch offices in maintaining membership records
- Assist in general office administrative activities
- Provide backup to other membership staff positions and undertake other duties as requested.
Experience and qualifications
To be considered you will have:
- Experience working in a membership administration or customer service role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent telephone manner
- Experience in database maintenance and office computer applications, such as Word and Excel
- Well organised, able to prioritise work, apply a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Understanding of customer relationship management
- Ability to work independently and flexibly in a small team environment
- Experience in using iMIS (desirable but not essential)

Salary and conditions
- Negotiable based on experience.
- Flexible working arrangements and attractive leave entitlements including 12 rostered days off per year and 4 days paid shutdown leave.
- While the position is based in West Melbourne, staff have access to working from home options.
- The position is for an initial 12 month contact.
