National Campaigns Coordinator
Australian Manufacturing Workers’ Union (AMWU)

Do you want to build worker power, win campaigns, and shape the future of our work and life for manufacturing workers?

At the Australian Manufacturing Workers’ Union (AMWU), we have a new Strategy and Blueprint for Action with ambitious, high-impact, member-led campaigns at the centre. We are looking for a National Campaigns Coordinator to build our new National Campaigns Team and lead this work – from campaigns to win on workplace issues and safety, all the way through to comprehensive campaigns for housing justice, a living wage and economic sovereignty.

This is a new position, and the opportunity for the right candidate to make their mark and build a program from the ground up. If you share our vision and you’re smart, ambitious and ready for the challenge, then we want to hear from you.

Our Organisation
The Australian Manufacturing Workers’ Union (AMWU) is a progressive trade Union dedicated to advancing the rights and wellbeing of manufacturing workers and their communities. AMWU members work in the metals trades, printing, paper industry, vehicle industry, food and confectionery industry as well as technical trades and professions.

At the AMWU we are driven by our values. We are democratic, inclusive, fair and respectful; we do what we say; and we work strategically, standing together as one to deliver outcomes for
members. We pride ourselves on bold member-led campaigns that effect real change and build workers’ power.

The AMWU is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. We strongly encourage applications from First Nations people, women, people with disability, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and LGBTIQ+ people.
