The National Tertiary Education Union (Victorian Division) covers staff employed in universities, associated companies, research institutes, TAFE, student unions and adult and community education. The Union’s membership includes Academic, General, Research and Professional staff.

NTEU is seeking a highly motivated, member focused individual with experience in organising, recruitment and campaigning, either in a trade union or in social justice organisations.  The successful applicant will be committed to building the trade union movement.  The position is offered as a full-time, ongoing role.

The successful candidate will initially be working across the universities in Victoria.  You will be assigned a mix of duties, including taking responsibility for the completion of organising, campaign, and administrative tasks or projects at the Branch level and state-wide. Travel between Branches will be expected and you may be allocated to other NTEU Branches in Victoria from time to time.

The position will be filled at NTEU Level 5 or 6 ($99,447 – $123,082 FTE), depending on skills and experience, plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.  Terms and conditions for this position are covered by a national collective agreement which has terms comparable with NTEU members in the industry.
