The ACTU welcomes the appointment of Greg Combet to a high level Government panel to advise on a major restructure of the SPC fruit and vegetable canning operations.
“As Industry Minister under the former Labor Government and his many years representing workers, Mr Combet brings extensive skills and experience to the task,” ACTU Secretary Dave Oliver said.
“Greg has been a passionate advocate for the manufacturing industry in all of his roles and the ACTU looks forward to working constructively with him.”
