The ACTU welcomes the appointment of Adam Hatcher SC as the new President of the Fair Work Commission.

The Fair Work Commission plays a fundamental role in our industrial relations system, and Mr Hatcher brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this critical position.

With rising interest rates and the spiralling cost of living, Australian workers face the largest real wage cut in history. The Fair Work Commission will play a pivotal role in overseeing the implementation of the new bargaining laws at this critical time.
