Educator/Organiser Brisbane

Media Release - August 6, 2004

Trade Union Training Australia (TUTA), the training arm of the ACTU, is seeking a educator/trainer to be based in either Brisbane.

This role will undertake training delivery and assessment activities around a nationally accredited training program for union organisers as well as delivery of other scheduled training courses for organisers and delegates. The job will also entail organising and development work with unions from time to time. The position will be located in the Queensland Council of Unions and be required to work closely with all Queensland unions.

The ideal applicant will have broad experience within a union in either an organising capacity and/or as a union educator. Experience in collective bargaining is preferable. The position will require well developed writing skills, training delivery, communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant vocational education and training qualifications are desirable. Some interstate travel will be required.
