Trade Union Training Australia (TUTA), the training arm of the ACTU, is seeking a national advocacy educator/trainer to be based in either Melbourne or Sydney. This is a new position whose principal focus will be to develop and deliver an industrial, research and advocacy education and development program across the states.
Educator/Trainer (Melbourne)
Trade Union Training Australia is seeking an educator/trainer to be based in the Melbourne office. This role will undertake training delivery and assessment activities around a nationally accredited training program for union organisers as well as delivery of other scheduled training courses and development work as required.
The ideal applicant will have broad experience working within a union in either an organising capacity and/or as a union educator/trainer. Experience in collective bargaining is preferable. The position will require well developed writing skills, training delivery, communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant vocational education and training qualifications are desirable. Some interstate travel will be required.
