From today people working under the hospitality, fast food, pharmacy and restaurant awards face pay cuts as the second round of penalty rate cuts under the Turnbull Government hits. The Turnbull Government has voted against measures to restore these rates eight times.
People working in hospitality and fast food will lose 10 percent of their penalty for working Sunday, people in pharmacies and retail will lose 15 percent of their Sunday rates from July 1.
On the same day, Malcolm Turnbull and his ministers will get pay rises of up to $10,000 each.

“This isn’t fair. The money that Turnbull is handing to big business is coming out of our hospitals, schools, childcare centres and community services.
“It’s not surprising that policies that takes away from working people and give public money to big business is so unpopular. These ideas have been proven not to benefit the majority of people. These are bad ideas.
