Around 1000 delegates representing workers from every industry and sector in Australia attended the ACTU Congress at Docklands Stadium in Melbourne from 26–28 May.
Congress is the largest and most important gathering of Australian unions and it sets the union agenda for the following three years.
Delegates debated and voted on policies regarding the workplace, rights and campaigns to improve wages, conditions and the standard of living for Australian workers and their families.
The focus of the ACTU 2015 Congress was the role of unions in addressing inequality and building a better future for all Australians.
